Memory and innovation: Bracco, a historic Italian brand
On April 15, the anniversary of Leonardo da Vinci’s birth, we celebrate National Made in Italy Day, established by the Framework Law on the Protection of Made in Italy.
Bracco will also be participating in the packed schedule of this year’s event, which runs from March 20 to May 10. To mark the occasion, on April 24, we opened the doors of our Lambrate headquarters to showcase the new corporate library and the area dedicated to the Historical Archives.
Family businesses like Bracco are unique because they are founded on a commitment to building a solid enterprise that is deeply intertwined with the life of the country. We take great pride in remaining a company with strong Italian roots, succeeding in making “Made in Italy” a winner in a highly technologically advanced sector. Among the values that have always guided Bracco—which in 2023 was recognized as a Historic Brand of National Interest by the Ministry of Enterprise and Made in Italy—are a drive for innovation, a focus on employees, a commitment to culture, and numerous initiatives promoting the empowerment of women and young people.
The Bracco Historical Archive tells the story of an Italian company with nearly 100 years of history: through documents, photographs, and testimonials, it traces the evolution of the company founded by Elio Bracco in Milan in 1927, which today is an international group active in the life sciences sector and a global leader in medical imaging.
It was a unique opportunity to explore Bracco’s history up close, in the heart of Lambrate, and to be inspired by a heritage that continues to look toward the future.
