Content
This issue of Bracco 2 concludes the long-running theme of "women's work and their social role."
Edgarda Ferri concludes the series of articles with an overview of women's work in the 19th and early 20th centuries. Franca Feslikenian introduces us to the figure of an unforgettable woman: Florence Nightingale, known as the "Nightingale Lady" and also the "Lamp Maiden," the first to establish nursing care during the Crimean War.
In "The Battle of the Suffragettes," Mariella Crocellà offers the latest news on women's emancipation and the resulting rebellion of the male masters. The latest news comes from Sweden.
Finally, Bracco 2 closes with a poem by the great Fusignato, a portrait of the Romantic Woman, which contrasts with the imagery of woman presented by the poet himself.
