Diagnostic imaging is one of the most important discoveries in medicine, says Röntgen
Content
The mystery of X-rays is unveiled by German physicist Wilhelm Conrad Röntgen in this video made for the exhibition “The Beauty of Imaging”. In 1985 he discovered X-radiation, the new rays were able to pass through bodies and impress photographic plates. Being able to see through a physical barrier is not only fascinating, it is essential when it comes to the human body. If for science, seeing is the first step towards understanding phenomena, for medical science, it is also the beginning of prediction. Today, after more than a century of inventions and discoveries, medicine can count on a powerful ally to see and predict: imaging.
