Diana Bracco

Diana Bracco was born in Milan and graduated in Chemistry from the University of Pavia, which also awarded her an Honorary Degree in Pharmacy in 2001. In 2004, the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Rome awarded her an Honorary Degree in Medicine.

She is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Bracco, a multinational group founded in 1927, and of Centro Diagnostico Italiano. He is also Chairman of the Bracco Foundation. Under his leadership the Bracco Group has acquired a leading position in diagnostic imaging globally. Today, the company has a turnover of 1.4 billion Euro, 89% of which comes from international sales, and about 3,600 employees. In the area of research and development the company invests more than 10% of its turnover in the fields of diagnostic imaging and medical devices and has a portfolio that includes more than 2,000 patents.
Diana Bracco è is currently Vice President of the Board of Directors of the Fondazione Accademia Teatro alla Scala, a member of the Board of Directors and General Council of Confindustria and Assolombarda and of several Councils including the Board of Bocconi University, the General Council and the Executive Committee of Fondazione Fiera Milano. He is also a member of the Congregation of the Conservators of the Veneranda Biblioteca Ambrosiana.
She is a Cavaliere del Lavoro and has held numerous positions in the institutional and associative community: she was the first woman to be elected President of Federchimica and Assolombarda, Associazione Imprenditoriale Lombarda; she was Vice President for Research and Innovation in Confindustria; Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce of Milan, President of Fondazione Sodalitas, President of the National Cluster of Life Sciences – ALISEI and B20 Women Empowerment Ambassador.
She was also President of Expo 2015 SpA and Section Commissioner General for the Italian Pavilion at Expo Milano 2015.
